20 Dec With “Hurts Like This,” Chris de Sarandy releases his most personal song to date.
Following chart-topping successes like “Cynical” (#1) and “Magic Moments” (#2), British singer-songwriter Chris de Sarandy unveils his most moving and introspective single yet with “Hurts Like This.” The track is a deeply personal exploration of loss and grief, showcasing Chris’ raw vulnerability and unique musicality.
“‘Hurts Like This’ was written in response to the loss of my best friend in March 2018,” Chris explains.
“While my previous EP ‘Know Your Worth’ and my current single ‘Rain’ touched on themes of mental health and mourning my friend, I believe this is the most honest and raw song I’ve written about this experience and the emotions that remain, even six years later.”
With its delicate piano intro and atmospheric soundscape, “Hurts Like This” strikes a deeply emotional chord. The song seamlessly blends haunting melodies with Chris’ distinctive, soulful vocals, inviting listeners into an intimate world of reflection and healing. The track further solidifies why Chris de Sarandy has not only dominated the dance music charts but also carved out a distinct space as a solo artist.
